Detailed description
- F5 FaderLube is used to maintain squeaky/cracking faders and potentiometers.
- The effect is similar to DeoxIT, but in addition to its cleaning effect, FaderLube leaves a fine lubricating film to maintain the smooth operation of potentiometers.
- Clean heavily soiled potentiometers or faders first with D5 and then treat with F5.
- Caig DeoxIT® Fader F-Series is a precision lubricant and cleaner for moving contact surfaces (faders, switches, potentiometers, and other mechanisms with sliding surfaces).
- It replenishes the lubrication of surfaces that have been cleaned with solvents or other cleaning solutions.
- Over time, these conductive plastic parts lose their original lubrication due to wear and tear and/or repeated cleaning. Dust, dirt, spilled drinks, and other contaminants also affect the lubrication of the components. Relubrication is necessary to prevent excessive wear and abrasion on the plastic surfaces.
- Another application for DeoxIT® Fader is conductive membrane switches and components. Repeated finger contact causes oils, greases, and acids to accumulate on the membrane surfaces, which can lead to device malfunctions. Applying DeoxIT® Fader provides a long-lasting barrier against these types of contaminants. Oil, grease, and acids are displaced by the DeoxIT® Fader layer and no longer come into contact with the plastic membrane.
