Detailed description
- The ASTRO harness is designed for rope-assisted work in areas that are difficult to access. Its design is specially adapted to the particularities of moving around and climbing on a rope. The 3D foam padding and the semi-rigid design of the hip belt and leg loops ensure increased comfort during all phases of work. The ventral attachment eyelet can be opened for optimum installation of the equipment required for movement. The integrated CROLL L rope clamp improves the efficiency of rope ascents. The waist belt is equipped with metal side attachment loops, gear loops and attachment options for gear holders, so that the equipment required for a working day can be stowed away neatly. The belt is also easy and practical to put on and adjust, even when wearing gloves. This is ensured by the opening FAST and self-locking DOUBLEBACK buckles.

- In the event of a fall into the dorsal fall arrest eyelet, a red fall indicator appears, indicating that the harness must be discarded.
– The ergonomic shape of the shoulder straps reduces friction points on the neck or throat.
– The movable straps ensure increased comfort and optimum freedom of movement.
– All contact surfaces (shoulder straps, hip belt and leg loops) are equipped with 3D foam padding and a breathable lining fabric, guaranteeing greater comfort when sitting in the harness and during all phases of work.
– The hip belt and leg loops are semi-rigid, ensuring optimum positioning and perfect support of the harness on the user.
– The metal side attachment loops can be folded away to prevent them from getting caught when not in use.
– The back of the thighs is equipped with elastic straps (interchangeable – available as an accessory) which ensure that the correct adjustment is maintained both when walking and sitting in the harness.
– The lanyard for the ascent, PROGRESS ADJUST or JANE, is hooked directly onto the center pin without using a lanyard.
– The CROLL L chest ascender is attached directly to the ventral attachment eyelet for increased efficiency and more freedom of movement when ascending the rope.
– Attaching a PODIUM or LITEPOD seat board directly to the center pin allows a direct connection to the descender while ensuring the mobility of the ventral eyelet.
– The shoulder straps are equipped with two practical buckles: on the left with an opening FAST buckle for easy donning and doffing of the harness and on the right with a self-locking DOUBLEBACK buckle with anti-slip system for easy adjustment that does not adjust.
– The hip belt is equipped with self-locking DOUBLEBACK buckles.
– The leg loops are equipped with opening FAST buckles for quick opening and closing without changing the adjustment, even when wearing gloves.
– The shoulder straps are equipped with a height-adjustable Velcro strap, which can be attached on the right or left, for the ASAP’SORBER energy absorber.
– Attachment systems for the connecting elements of the lanyards for fall protection are attached to the shoulders.
– The waist belt is equipped with two retractable metal eyelets for attaching a work positioning lanyard to both eyelets.
– The waist belt is also equipped with seven preformed, sheathed material loops, two fastening options for CARITOOL tool holders and INTERFAST fastening system as well as two loops for TOOLBAG tool bags.
Holding eyelets
- For attaching an abseiling device, a lanyard for the ascent or for positioning a workstation on an eyelet, a seat board.
- Lateral retaining eyelets: For attaching a lanyard for work positioning to both attachment eyelets.
- Front fall arrest eyelet at chest height: For attaching a fall arrest system.
